Overview
True Religion, an iconic American denim brand, invited me to complete a photo retouching test as part of their interview process for a photo retoucher position. The role focused on delivering polished, high-quality imagery for e-commerce, campaign, and editorial use—requiring precision, consistency, and brand fluency.

Objective
Demonstrate technical skill and creative judgment in retouching fashion photography for both product and lifestyle images. The goal was to maintain True Religion’s bold, premium aesthetic while optimizing images for clarity, consistency, and impact across digital channels.

My Role

- Photo Retoucher (Interview Test Project)
- Retouched product and model imagery for web and marketing applications
- Applied advanced techniques to correct color, skin, texture, and lighting
- Ensured consistency across sets while preserving the brand’s gritty, high-fashion edge
- Delivered images ready for e-commerce and campaign use, optimized for quality and speed
- Maintained detail and realism while elevating overall polish and brand presence

Process

1. File Analysis
Reviewed raw imagery and identified areas for correction and enhancement
2. Color & Tone Correction
Adjusted lighting, contrast, and color balance to align with brand style guides
3. Skin & Fabric Retouching
Performed high-end skin work and fabric cleanup while preserving natural texture
4. Final Finishing
Sharpened, cropped, and exported files for web-ready delivery
